NAQS releases recruitment shortlist, fixes CBT for August 20

The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has released the shortlist of applicants for its ongoing recruitment exercise. The agency notified this development via a notice posted on its official X account on Wednesday. According to the notice, applicants can now check their application status on the official recruitment portal, recruitment.naqs.gov.ng, using their registered details.

"The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service wishes to inform all applicants and members of the public that the status of applications is now available for checking on the official recruitment portal," it stated.

Applicants who have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process are advised to prepare for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). The CBT will be conducted online via the recruitment portal starting from Thursday, 20th August 2026. Further details on the exact schedule of the CBT will be communicated to applicants through their registered email addresses.

The agency urged applicants to remain vigilant and rely solely on official information from the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service. This announcement comes after NAQS postponed the release of the recruitment shortlist, initially scheduled for August 13, to ensure a thorough, transparent, and accurate recruitment process. The recruitment exercise, which opened on July 28 and closed on August 10, received a total of 606,928 attempted applications, of which 407,659 were successfully submitted.
