Liverpool defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe set to join Levante on loan

Liverpool centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe is set to join Spanish club Levante on loan, according to journalist Nacho Sanchis. The 18-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Austrian side Austria Wien this summer, is ineligible to play for Liverpool this season due to a lack of a work permit. Ndukwe showcased his impressive skills during pre-season, including a notable performance in a 3-2 defeat to AS Monaco at Anfield.

Liverpool's director of global talent, Matt Newberry, recognized Ndukwe's potential as a U21 player who could eventually break into the first team, leading to the decision to allow the Austria-born defender to join Levante on loan. Ndukwe's imposing presence, recovery pace, and exceptional tackling abilities make him an attractive prospect for Levante.

The youngster has the potential to gain valuable first-team experience at the Spanish club, which could lead to him making his debut for Liverpool's senior side in the 2027/28 season, should he impress with Levante.
