Lanterns Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out On HBO?
Lanterns is airing its eight-episode first season weekly on HBO, while its creative team is already looking ahead to what could come next.
New episodes of HBO's Lanterns season 1 premiere weekly on Sunday nights, with each episode simultaneously releasing on HBO Max. The show features an ensemble cast including Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, and many more. As of now, Lanterns season 2 has not yet been officially confirmed.
Showrunner Chris Mundy and co-creator Christopher Cantwell have started discussing a potential second season, but it all depends on audience interest. Mundy expressed hope for a potential follow-up, stating they are still in the early stages of planning. Lanterns star Aaron Pierre has even voiced his desire for the show to continue long-term, hoping it could become a decades-long journey for the character he plays.
