# Join Me on My Coding Journey

WHO Hi, I'm Cassie! Hello, I'm Cassie! I'm an aspiring front-end developer and lifelong learner who has found joy in the unique blend of creativity and problem-solving that coding offers. I'll be using this blog to document my journey through the world of front-end development, sharing my experiences with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and more.

I'm not writing this blog to boast my expertise. In fact, I'm writing it as I learn. I've just started my journey by working towards a Front-End Developer certification through Frontend Simplified and building my skills through coursework and hands-on projects. This means you'll experience my learning process in real-time, as my understanding deepens, my projects grow more complex, and hopefully, my code improves.

Currently, I'm coding in the stunning state of Alaska. My long-term goal is to build and host this blog as another portfolio project. For now, DEV provides me with a platform to begin writing as I continue developing the skills to create the site I envision. I shared this reason with you because I believe blogging while learning to code has significant value.

Understanding a concept well enough to use it is different from comprehending it thoroughly enough to explain it. This difference motivated me to write this blog as a means to grasp concepts deeply. I've always learned best by writing things out, as organizing an idea and explaining its workings forces me to understand it more profoundly than simply copying the syntax that makes it function.

This blog is primarily for me, a place to delve deeper into concepts I'm learning and attempt to explain them in simple English. However, it also serves as a record of my progress, something I can revisit later to ponder why I once found certain topics, like flexbox, confusing. Ultimately, I hope this blog might benefit other aspiring developers who, like me, might struggle with certain explanations.

Sharing my process, including visualizing concepts, experimenting, and figuring out why they work, could help others achieve that 'Oh! That's what that means!' moment.

So, here we are. I'm not certain where this journey will lead me, and I certainly don't have all the answers. That's the whole point. Things will get messy as I learn, build, break, Google error messages, figure out CSS issues, and write about my experiences along the way. If you're also on a similar learning path, I warmly invite you to join me on this journey.
