Islamabad Police Announces 1,600 Jobs for SI, ASI and Constables

The Islamabad Capital Territory Police have announced 1,624 vacancies for Sub Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors, and Constables under their Law & Order Executive Staff recruitment for 2026. Eligible Pakistani nationals, both male and female, can apply online until September 2, 2026. The cost per application is Rs. 2,000, payable separately for each post.

For the Sub Inspector (BS-14) positions, 60 applicants are required, holding a BA, BSc or equivalent qualification. Assistant Sub Inspector (BS-11) posts have 24 vacancies, also requiring a BA, BSc or equivalent degree. The Constable (BS-07) positions have 1,540 vacancies, necessitating at least Matric or an equivalent qualification.

All applicants for Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector positions must fall within the age range of 18 to 25 years. For Constable posts, the age requirement is also 18 to 25 years. Candidates should note that no age, height or chest relaxation will be provided. The age will be calculated from the closing date, September 2, 2026.

Male candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, while female candidates need to be a minimum of 5 feet 2 inches tall. For the chest measurement, males must have at least 33 inches, expandable to 34.5 inches. An endurance test is also mandatory, with males completing a one-mile run within seven minutes, and females having 10 minutes to complete the same distance.

Applications must be submitted online through the official recruitment portals at npftas.pk or islamabadpolice.gov.pk. Hard copies of documents or applications via courier are not accepted. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid per post.
