Haaland’s main rivals for the Premier League Golden Boot

Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, is aiming for his fourth Premier League Golden Boot in a row. With Mohamed Salah out of Liverpool, the competition for the top scorer title is likely to be even more open. Haaland's impressive goal-scoring record, including a tournament-winning 36 goals in 2022-23, has made him a strong favorite to win the award once again.

However, Alexander Isak of Liverpool, who finished second in the Golden Boot race last season with 23 goals, remains a significant contender. Isak's recent form at Liverpool, with only four goals in 22 games last season, could be crucial in determining whether he can maintain his impressive goal-scoring ability. Other potential contenders include Brentford's Igor Thiago, who scored 22 goals in his first Premier League season, and Joao Pedro of Chelsea, who netted 15 goals for his new club following a move from Brighton.

Arsenal's Viktor Gyokeres and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins are also in contention, with the latter averaging over 15 goals per season in the top flight since joining the club in 2020.
