English Legend Makes Bold Prediction for Pakistan vs England Test Series

Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad has criticized Pakistan ahead of their upcoming three-match Test series, forecasting a 3-0 victory for the English side. In an interview on the For The Love Of Cricket podcast, Broad acknowledged the individual talent within Pakistan's squad, including Babar Azam and Mohammad Abbas, but argued that the team as a whole is poor.

"They’re a poor side. They’re not really a good side," he stated. Broad predicted England would comfortably win the series, three matches to nil. The captaincy of Pakistan will be in the hands of Babar Azam, who was sidelined due to a hand injury sustained during a warm-up game. For England, Joe Root assumes the captaincy, while Marcus Trescothick acts as interim coach until Stephen Fleming assumes the role.

England currently ranks seventh in the World Test Championship, just one spot ahead of Pakistan. Broad also highlighted Mohammad Abbas, a veteran pacer with a long history of taking over 300 County Championship wickets. Despite this, England's recent performance has been poor, losing seven of their last nine Tests and failing to win a series since December 2024.

Pakistan has enjoyed recent success against England, winning the 2024 home series 2-1 and achieving a 3-0 series win in Pakistan in 2022.
