Dutch PM cheers on own hockey team against Argentinian partner

Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten enthusiastically supported his country's hockey team during a match against Argentina at the World Cup held at Wagener Stadium. Jetten, who is in a relationship with Nicolas Keenan, an Argentine hockey player, celebrated the Netherlands' 3-1 victory over Argentina on Tuesday and kissed his partner after the game.

Jetten expressed his pride in cheering for the Netherlands, while also acknowledging his affection for his fiancé. He stated, "I'm here to cheer on the Netherlands - and a tiny bit also because of my fiancé. Maybe he can score a goal for Argentina, but in the end, the Netherlands should get the win." Jetten was present at the stadium on Sunday to witness the Netherlands' 5-1 win against New Zealand and Argentina's 3-0 triumph over Japan.

Despite admitting that he is not a seasoned hockey expert and watches the game as an amateur, Jetten has become a fervent fan of the sport. Currently serving as the Netherlands' youngest and openly gay prime minister since February, Jetten has made history in his role.
