The Los Angeles Dodgers are inching closer to bringing back superstar player Shohei Ohtani to pitch. Ohtani participated in a second bullpen session on Tuesday, signaling his progress towards a potential return to the pitching mound. The 32-year-old outfielder/designated hitter has not started pitching since early July. In the Dodgers' upcoming three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, Ohtani remains in the batting lineup.

According to Nelson Espinal of DodgersNation, "Given his trajectory, he could be just one more (session) away from appearing in games again." The Dodgers are optimistic that Ohtani will return to the mound in September.
