Charlie Hunnam Gets ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Gang Back Together For FX Meta-Series ‘Legends’
Emmy nominee Charlie Hunnam (Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Sons of Anarchy) is putting the M.C. back together—sort of–for an all-new limited series. FX has ordered Legends, a meta-thriller developed and executive produced by Hunnam, who will also star, and Jonathan Groff (Happy Endings, This Fool). Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman are set to reunite in the FX and Hulu series "Legends," a meta-thriller that brings the cast back together after a decade. The show follows the cast members, playing themselves, at a fan convention where they uncover a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they faced on the show. Additional cast members are yet to be announced.
FX Entertainment President Nick Grad expressed excitement about Hunnam's bold vision, describing him as a talented writer, performer, and executive producer. The Sons of Anarchy series, which ran from 2008 to 2014, followed the illegal activities within the SAMCRO motorcycle club in Charming, California. Hunnam played Jax Teller, who rose to become president of the club.
The series finale saw Jax killed by police while riding off into the sunset. Hunnam previously starred in the Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans M.C., which aired from 2018 to 2023. "Legends" does not yet have a premiere date.
