In a since-deleted Instagram post, Crockett came forward with his true thoughts on the situation. He revealed that he had dumped the band not because of their satanic imagery, but because of their "production" and because they couldn't fit into his all ages tour.

Crockett also accused some unnamed artists of kicking him when he was "down in the dirt," as they had praised him for years before distancing themselves from him. He further criticized Jack White, the champion of Twin Temple, for using the controversy to promote his own ticket sales and suggested that White's previous band, the White Stripes, had always avoided political issues.

Crockett also dismissed the band's "dog-whistling about religious and creative freedom," and vowed to continue speaking his mind despite the potential backlash.
