Brook Lynn Delivers ‘Amazing’ Performance of Original Song For ‘AGT’ Quarterfinals: Watch

The 19-year-old singer, originally from The Netherlands, has traversed a significant journey to make her mark on the show. At the Judges’ Callback on August 18, Lynn showcased her impressive vocal range with a mesmerizing rendition of Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life."

She then stunned the judges and audience alike with an original song, which she aptly titled "Love Your Enemy."

The judges were effusive in their praise for Lynn's performance. Sofía Vergara, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Simon Cowell all commended her for her talent, control, and confidence. Vergara declared, "Brook, that was amazing," while Mel B noted that the song had a darker tone that struck a chord with her and likely others. Mandel likened Lynn's journey in the competition to a flower blossoming, highlighting her progress and growth.

Cowell, ever the contrarian, noted that it took courage to write an original song, remarking that it would have been safer to perform a cover.

Lynn, visibly thrilled with her performance, remarked, "It felt really amazing. You know, people only know me for singing covers so I'm really really grateful that I'm able to do this right now." She was one of 11 quarterfinalists for Round 1 of the Season 21 Live Quarterfinals. The winner of this round, awarded by Simon Mandel's Golden Buzzer for the second consecutive season, will advance to the finals, where the competition will continue every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, streaming the next day on Peacock.
