BlueBird Tech Unveils Bebradrone-M UAV for Training Ukraine’s Interceptor Drone Operators

BlueBird Tech has unveiled a new version of its fixed-wing UAV, the Bebradrone-М, specifically designed to train Ukrainian interceptor drone operators and perform aerial target interception exercises. This specialized drone provides a realistic training experience by allowing operators to detect, pursue, and intercept actual unmanned aircraft, rather than relying on simulators.

The Bebradrone-М not only enhances practical skills but also enables teams to train for various scenarios, including countering aerial reconnaissance. To do so, the drone incorporates foil materials on its wings, which increase its radar signature, providing a stronger return and allowing for simulated multiple target engagements.

While the Bebradrone-М shares design and operating principles with its combat counterpart, BlueBird Tech, the main difference lies in its internal components. Unlike its military counterpart, the Bebradrone-М does not carry a warhead and can accommodate a payload of up to 2 kg. Moreover, it lacks cruise control and navigation systems, making it more suitable for training purposes.

The standard version of the UAV includes a fixed-wing configuration, although customers can request custom setups tailored to their specific requirements. However, any modifications will result in additional pricing based on the selected configuration.

Operating at a cruising speed of 70 km/h, the Bebradrone-М can reach a maximum speed of up to 115 km/h. It boasts a flight duration of up to 25 minutes and a maximum operational range of 30 km. The UAV can operate at altitudes between 200 and 700 meters. Upon launch, it utilizes a pneumatic catapult and features an automatic takeoff function, ensuring ease of deployment.
