BJP Leaders Await State In-Charge Appointments After National Team Announcement

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: State BJP leaders are eagerly anticipating the appointment of state unit in-charges following the revelation of the party's national team. Nitin Nabin, the national president, has already designated in-charges for three states after announcing his own team. There is speculation that he may disclose the names of in-charges for additional states.

This appointment could significantly influence Madhya Pradesh. The incumbent in-charge of MP, Mahendra Singh, hails from Uttar Pradesh. Satish Upadhyay, co-in-charge of the state, is also a legislator from Delhi and serves as the deputy chairman of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Considering the impending UP assembly elections, the party might appoint more leaders as in-charge and co-in-charge in the state.

Among the state's leaders, Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya retains the position of co-in-charge for Maharashtra. Consequently, MP BJP leaders are concerned about the allocation of posts to party members as in-charge. Speculation among politicians across the state suggests that Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel might secure assignments in Delhi.

The BJP excluded both from the national team, leading politicians to believe the party might assign them as in-charges. However, according to BJP sources, the likelihood of their appointment as in-charges is low. Instead, these individuals might be utilized in states scheduled to hold assembly elections in the near future. In Bhopal, transportation is affected as Uber, Ola, and local taxis announce a strike until August 20.
