Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: Court Rejects Bail Pleas Of All Accused, Dhami Govt Highlights Strong Prosecution

In the Ankita Bhandari murder case, the court has once again turned down bail requests from all the accused. The strong prosecution by the state government was the reason behind this decision. This underscores Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's administration's dedication to delivering justice for Ankita and imposing the harshest penalties on those found guilty.

The conviction of the accused and their life imprisonment sentence is proof of the government's serious and determined approach towards the case from its inception till the final judicial verdict, with the aim of ensuring the strictest possible punishment for the perpetrators. Following the incident, Chief Minister Dhami immediately ordered stringent action.

Within 24 hours, the accused were incarcerated and an SIT was formed for a meticulous investigation. The investigation team prepared a detailed chargesheet of approximately 500 pages, incorporating statements from nearly 100 witnesses and crucial evidence. The prosecution consistently presented a compelling case before the court, leading to the repeated rejection of bail applications and the accused remaining in custody throughout the trial.

Through the investigation and robust prosecution, the real culprits of Ankita's murder were ultimately handed life imprisonment. The state government always prioritized Ankita's parents' and family's sentiments. Government counsel was changed three times to meet the family's demands, and when Ankita's parents requested a CBI investigation, Chief Minister Dhami honored their wishes by ordering one.

The government provided ₹25 lakh in financial aid to support the family and also gave jobs to Ankita's brother and father, fulfilling their commitment to support the bereaved family. From the very beginning, Chief Minister Dhami's stance was clear: irrespective of a criminal's influence, the law will prevail and the guilty will face justice with the harshest possible penalty.

Despite questions raised about the investigation, the judicial process was found satisfactory, and the accused were brought to justice due to strong prosecution. Some political groups, including Congress, raised questions in the name of the so-called 'VIP', attempting to create confusion among the public. However, presenting concrete facts and evidence before the investigating agencies and the court, rather than making baseless allegations for political gain and misleading the public, is the true fight for justice.

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized from the outset that ensuring justice for Ankita was the government's top priority. From swift arrests, an SIT investigation, a strong chargesheet, and action under the Gangsters Act, to ensuring the accused did not get bail, altering the prosecution arrangement according to the family's demand, providing financial assistance and employment, and ordering a CBI investigation at Ankita's parents' request—the government took sensitive and firm actions at every stage.

In the pursuit of justice for Ankita, the Dhami government didn't just make promises; it acted with sensitivity and firmness through concrete measures, strong prosecution, and a decisive outcome.
