Southern California will be well represented as the 2026 Little League World Series begins Wednesday, Aug. 19. Here's when the action begins.
The 2026 Little League World Series kicks off on Wednesday, August 19 at Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Sweetwater Valley from San Diego County is returning to the tournament for the first time since 2015, after defeating Kawaihau Community Little League from Hawaii in the regional finals. The 20-team field is divided into two brackets, one for U.S. champions and one for international teams, with the winners facing off in a championship game.
The LLWS uses a modified double-elimination format, ensuring each team plays at least two games in Pennsylvania. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN platforms, with the championship game airing on ABC.
