Wout Weghorst Siblings: All About Twan, Ralf and Niek Weghorst

Wout Weghorst is a Dutch professional footballer, born on August 7, 1992, in Borne, Overijssel, the Netherlands. He is a striker renowned for his physicality, aerial skills, ability to make assists, and tireless work ethic. Currently, Weghorst plays for Eredivisie club FC Twente and the Dutch national team. Raised in a prosperous family that manages a series of petrol stations under the AVIA brand, Weghorst opted for a football career despite his family's initial inclination for him to concentrate on academics or the business.

Weghorst has a close bond with his siblings. His eldest brother is Twan Weghorst, who pursued a career as a pilot and played amateur football. His immediate older brother, Ralf Weghorst, is an architect who remembers Wout's childhood fascination with football. The youngest sibling is Niek Weghorst, who has taken charge of the family business, AVIA Weghorst, a retail enterprise specializing in oil and gas products with more than 130 stations across the Netherlands. Weghorst's football journey commenced at local clubs RKSV NEO and DETO Twenterand. He then had a brief stint with the Willem II youth setup before turning professional at Emmen in 2012. During his time at the second-tier side, he scored consistently over two seasons. Subsequently, he moved to Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo in 2014, contributing to the club's remarkable European qualification.

In 2016, Weghorst joined AZ Alkmaar, where he maintained his goalscoring prowess and earned recognition at the senior international level.
