Worker from Uttar Pradesh charred to death in furniture godown fire in Sircilla

A 22-year-old worker from Uttar Pradesh lost his life in a devastating fire at a furniture godown in Peddur, located on the outskirts of Sircilla town in Rajanna Sircilla district, on Tuesday morning. Three other individuals who were present in the furniture manufacturing unit-cum-godown managed to escape unharmed. Police are suspecting that a short-circuit may have triggered the fire.

The incident came to light when locals noticed a plume of thick smoke emanating from the godown, prompting them to alert the police. Emergency responders, including three fire tenders, were promptly dispatched to the scene. After nearly three hours of relentless effort, firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze. Islam, was a native of Uttar Pradesh. The fire left almost the entire stock of furniture in the godown completely destroyed. Police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the fire.
