Sixteen-year-old Ryder Williams and ten-year-old Nathaniel Rai were honored at a White House ceremony attended by their families, following Trump's announcement to invite them for recognition of their heroic actions.

Trump praised the duo, stating, "What you did was incredible, and everybody saw it." Williams credited his training for his quick reactions during the dangerous moments, saying, "In those dangerous moments that we have, we always try to fall back on our training. I really was thinking about how to get the boy out of the water as fast as I can."

Nathaniel, seated beside his father and sister, nodded in agreement as Trump recounted the rescue, adding that his father was ecstatic about the event. The president then invited the pair to visit the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House. When Williams shared his aspirations to become a firefighter, Trump offered him some potential "good recommendations."

Trump called the rescue "tremendous grace" and expressed admiration for Williams' cool demeanor during the emergency, saying, "I wouldn't probably. You're lucky I wasn't on the service that day." He also remarked on the widespread attention the rescue had garnered online, calling the footage "amazing" and noting that he had never seen a rescue quite like it.
