Werder Bremen confirm loan signing of Niclas Füllkrug from West Ham

Werder Bremen have announced the signing of Germany international striker Niclas Füllkrug on a season-long loan from West Ham United. The 33-year-old forward rejoins the Bundesliga club after a previous stint with them, after leaving for Borussia Dortmund and later West Ham United. Werder Bremen's head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer, expressed delight at securing Füllkrug's return to the club.

Fülle had made it clear that his intention was to rejoin Werder. Despite the past two seasons not going as he had hoped, the club remains confident that Füllkrug can have a successful spell back in the Bundesliga. Füllkrug himself is thrilled to be back at the Weserstadion, stating that the club holds a special place in his heart.

He had previously made financial sacrifices to secure the loan move and is eager to play for Werder again, looking forward to returning to the Bundesliga.
