VinFast to establish new partnership with Indonesia’s Gowa Motor Group

Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast Auto has signed a preliminary agreement with Indonesian multi-brand vehicle dealer and distributor Gowa Motor Group (GMG) to form a joint venture. The strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) signifies a significant step in VinFast's plan to boost its presence in Indonesia, a rapidly growing BEV market in Southeast Asia.

The new partnership aims to open at least 30 showrooms and service centers across the country within the first phase of expansion, complementing VinFast's existing network of over 40 sales outlets in Indonesia. This joint venture will provide VinFast's electric vehicles, along with comprehensive aftersales services, maintenance, and customer care, meeting the company's global standards.

VinFast Southeast Asia CEO Antonio Zara expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting GMG's extensive experience in the automotive industry and local market expertise as key assets. GMG's commissioner, Sadikin Aksa, emphasized the potential of Indonesia's BEV market and commended VinFast's long-term vision. The partnership not only creates new business opportunities for both companies but also reflects their shared commitment to accelerating Indonesia's green transition by providing sustainable mobility solutions and high-quality services to Indonesian consumers.
