Afrobeats artist Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has explicitly stated that he will not seek a position in Nigerian politics in the future. The reasons he cited include systemic problems within the country's electoral process, the stress associated with politics, and fears of electoral manipulation. During an interview on News Central TV, the musician elaborated on his stance following his participation in the recent Osun State governorship election.
