VfL Wolfsburg unveil signing of Holstein Kiel's Bernhardsson

VfL Wolfsburg has officially announced the signing of Swedish international Alexander Bernhardsson from Holstein Kiel for the upcoming 2.Bundesliga season. The 27-year-old midfielder has inked a contract until June 30, 2029.

In January 2024, Bernhardsson completed his first international move, transferring from Swedish six-time champions IF Elfsborg to Holstein Kiel. During his time at Kiel, he made 57 appearances, including 19 in the Bundesliga, amassing a tally of 15 goals and 14 assists.

Bernhardsson's versatility in attack is a significant asset to any team, and VfL Wolfsburg is eager to harness his speed, strong acceleration, and agility. His ability to cause problems in one-on-one situations is particularly noteworthy, as he remains a formidable left-footed presence, adding new dimensions to the team's attacking play.
