United to battle Arsenal for Osimhen

Manchester United and Arsenal are both pursuing the signature of Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker who has been in impressive form with Galatasaray. The Premier League clubs have shown interest in Osimhen, who registered 28 goals in 33 appearances last season. Osimhen recently scored twice in Galatasaray's Super Lig opener against Çorum FK, and he is on a four-year contract with the Turkish club.

Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek confirmed that the deal with Napoli contained no release clause, meaning any interested club must negotiate directly with the Turkish champions. The asking price for Osimhen is reported to be around €150m, with Galatasaray turning down a €130m offer from Al-Hilal. Arsenal, who are reportedly closer to a deal, are said to have enquired about Osimhen's availability during discussions with Galatasaray over Gabriel Martinelli.

Osimhen, 27, has already scored twice in his opening game for Galatasaray and has not dismissed the speculation surrounding a potential move.
