Two-Day Crime Spree Ends with Suspected Vega Baja Burglar Back Behind Bars

Two men have been arrested in connection with a two-day burglary spree in Vega Baja, Spain, as reported by The Leader. The suspects, aged 27 and 38, allegedly targeted four commercial premises in Redován and Rafal, forcing open security shutters and stealing cash before causing extensive damage. One of the men was already on conditional release after serving part of a prison sentence for previous property offences, and his parole has now been revoked.

The arrests were made on July 31 with assistance from the Alicante Command’s Citizen Security Unit and officers from the Callosa de Segura main station. The Guardia Civil investigation began on July 25 after two businesses in Redován were broken into during the same night, with further evidence leading to the discovery of the same suspects responsible for the crimes in Rafal.

Both men have been returned to prison, and the completed police files have been submitted to the appropriate investigating section of the Orihuela Court of Instance.
