Truth of Arsenal-Osimhen talks confirmed

Arsenal are not currently engaged in active talks with Galatasaray to sign Victor Osimhen, despite rumors suggesting otherwise, according to The Athletic's James McNicholas. While the two clubs have been in dialogue about several players, a potential transfer for Osimhen does not seem to be one of them. Matthew Law had initially reported that discussions between Arsenal and Galatasaray over Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri included the possibility of Osimhen becoming available.

Sami Mokbel of the BBC confirmed that Osimhen was indeed discussed, but it's unclear whether Arsenal's Andrea Berta proposed the move or if the striker was simply offered to the Gunners. The situation appears to have ended after an initial conversation, possibly due to Galatasaray's strong stance on the striker. Club president Dursun Ozbek has reportedly stated that no amount of money would persuade them to sell Osimhen.

Although Arsenal is seeking a forward this summer and Osimhen is highly regarded, his off-field issues, including conflicts with club officials, could make a deal unattractive. However, if Galatasaray remains committed to keeping Osimhen, a deal is likely impossible.
