'That is the fuel': Gavin Lee thanks Lions fans for backing team through ASEAN championship

Lions head coach Gavin Lee expressed his gratitude to Singapore's supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the team's run in the ASEAN football championship. After Singapore's 2-1 second-leg win over Thailand, Lee acknowledged the fans' support in a recent interview. He stated, "I think we have turned a few doubters into believers, and that's nice... what's so heartening is you go back to the first leg and we were down 3-0, and Satu Nada (one heartbeat) was being sung."

Lee emphasized that the support provided by the fans was the driving force behind the team's perseverance. Despite losing the match on aggregate 3-4, Lee expressed pride in his team's performance and belief that the experience would aid their progress in the upcoming Asian Cup.
