Serie A: Italy’s Vicario joins Juventus on loan from Spurs

Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has joined Juventus from Tottenham Hotspur on a one-year loan, with the possibility of making the deal permanent, according to the two clubs. The 29-year-old Italian international is set to replace Michele Di Gregorio in goal for the Serie A side, which will compete in the Europa League this season after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Juventus announced the move, welcoming the new talent to their ranks. "There's another new Bianconero in Turin," the statement read, "Welcome to Juventus, Guglielmo!"

At Tottenham, Vicario was displaced as first-choice goalkeeper towards the end of last season under Roberto De Zerbi, as the club narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League. The goalkeeper joined Spurs in 2023 from Empoli, following stints at Udinese, Venezia, Perugia, and Cagliari. During his time at Tottenham, he played 117 matches, keeping 29 clean sheets, and played a crucial role in the club's Europa League triumph in 2025.

Vicario's signing could prove valuable for Juventus as they aim to strengthen their defense ahead of the new season.
