However, the report criticizes the continued use of the term "Israeli Occupation" in the textbooks, which reflects a non-recognition of Israel. The group also notes the truncating of Quranic verses addressing disbelief and sin. The curriculum modifications come amid ongoing tensions and Israeli politicians' calls to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build a Jewish temple in its place.
