Russia warns UK of “consequences” over British-made drones in Ukraine’s deep strikes. London vows to continue supporting Kyiv

The Russian Embassy in London has threatened Britain with "consequences" following reports that Ukrainian forces utilized British-made drones to conduct strikes inside Russia. Moscow accuses London of deliberately escalating the war by supporting Ukraine's long-range strike campaign, stating that Britain aims to "contain Russia and inflict maximum damage on it by proxy." The Russian threat implies that the deeper Britain becomes involved, "the higher the price it will pay."

According to the Sunday Times, Ukrainian forces have employed two British-built drone systems against targets inside Russia for the first time over the past six months. These drones have targeted oil refineries in Volgograd and Yaroslavl. The Russian Embassy asserts that these reported drone deployments confirm London's deliberate decision to escalate the Ukraine crisis, warning of "consequences" for Britain that it must face.

In contrast, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has rejected Moscow's warning, reaffirming that Britain will continue supporting Ukraine despite Russian threats. Burnham emphasized that the UK is committed to supporting Ukraine 100% against the illegal war led by Vladimir Putin, providing the necessary military equipment for Ukraine's defense.

Burnham's statement comes amid Ukraine's significant expansion of its long-range strike campaign against Russian military and energy targets, employing large drone swarms to disrupt military production, logistics, and energy revenues.
