Russia Threatens UK Over British-Made Drones Allegedly Used in Ukrainian Deep Strikes

Russia has warned Britain that it will face consequences after reports emerged that British-made drones allegedly played a role in deep strikes targeting Russia from Ukraine. The Russian Embassy in London accused Britain of escalating its role in the war and called it an "accomplice and co-perpetrator" in Ukrainian attacks. The embassy said the deeper Britain's involvement in the conflict and the more support it provides to Kiev's "terrorist machinery," the greater the price Russia will have to pay.

The warning came after a report in The Sunday Times suggesting that drones manufactured by two British defense companies had been utilized by Kyiv against military and industrial targets in Russia. One of the manufacturers is reportedly connected to BAE Systems, while the other company's identity was not disclosed due to security considerations. However, Britain's Defense Ministry has not yet issued a comment on the matter.

Since Russia initiated its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, London has been one of Kyiv's most significant military supporters, providing around £25 billion ($33 billion) in assistance, including £16 billion in military aid. Ukraine has progressively driven the war back into Russian territory by launching long-range strikes at military and industrial facilities supporting Moscow's campaign, while Russia continues to carry out extensive missile and drone attacks against Ukrainian cities.
