Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Lead Xbox Game Pass’s August 2026 Second Batch

Xbox announced its second batch of games set to join Xbox Game Pass in August 2026. Critics have expressed disappointment, with some finding the game choices "junk" and others calling it one of the worst drops in a while. Many of the games added to Game Pass are lesser-known titles, and some are yet to be released. Despite this, subscribers can try these games and decide for themselves.

One of the games, "Date Everything," has been well-received by the author, indicating that there might be some worthwhile additions in this batch. Xbox Game Pass offers a vast library of games for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC or mobile devices at a price as low as $10 per month. The higher-tiered Game Pass Ultimate, costing $23 per month, provides access to hundreds of games, including new releases on the day they're released, for the entire month.

"Shattered Mind" and "Blood Dungeon" are two of the games slated for August 19 and 25 respectively, accessible to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. "A Plague Tale: Legacy" is set 15 years after the events of "A Plague Tale: Requiem" and follows the story of Sophia navigating the Minotaur's Island and uncovering the secrets behind a long-forgotten curse. The game combines elements of action-adventure and puzzle-solving in a mythic setting.

In addition to these games, there are seven other titles that Microsoft plans to remove from Game Pass soon, so it's advised to complete campaigns or finish playing these games before they are removed. With more games being added to the service this month, subscribers can explore a wide range of titles to find their next gaming adventure.
