Report: Liverpool ready to push hard to sign two forwards

Liverpool are actively pursuing a double signing of PSG's Bradley Barcola and Ibrahima Mbaye, in a potential £155m deal, according to recent reports. Both players have personal terms already agreed with Anfield, meaning the only remaining hurdle is price. PSG's valuation for Barcola was initially around £145m, but his camp now believes a deal in the region of £125m could be reached.

Mbaye, on the other hand, is being sought for closer to £30m, reflecting a significant drop from the club's initial £50m asking price. Liverpool’s plans to replace Mohamed Salah, coupled with the need for attacking depth, make this a compelling proposition. Head coach Andoni Iraola has signaled his willingness for Cody Gakpo to leave, provided a suitable replacement is secured.

The transfer discussions hinge on Paris Saint-Germain's willingness to move away from their inflated valuation. If Liverpool can secure both signings at their estimated prices, it would send a strong message about their intent and financial capacity.
