Readers’ favorite Galaxy Watch 9 alternative might come as a surprise

The Galaxy Watch 9 series was recently launched, offering Wear OS users a new smartwatch for fitness tracking and more. However, it comes at a higher price point than previous models. Consumers have the option to either accept the price hike or seek alternative devices. My colleague Roydon Cerejo suggested five potential alternatives, and in a poll accompanying his article, our readers were asked to vote for their preferred choice.

To their surprise, Garmin's Venu 4 emerged as the frontrunner, receiving 22.9% of the nearly 2,300 votes. Although the Venu 4 isn't as feature-rich as Wear OS devices, it excels in health and wellness tracking, boasts longer battery life, and offers two body size options. Pixel Watch 4 came in second place, while Amazfit Balance 2 secured third place.

Samsung's previous smartwatch models also appeared on the list, but they trailed behind Garmin, Google, and Amazfit in terms of popularity.
