Raj Kundra recalls Shilpa Shetty divorce rumour in jail: ‘I felt like ending my life’

Businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra has revealed the harrowing experience of his 63 days in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail in 2021, following his arrest in a pornography case. Kundra claimed he went to the police station for questioning without suspecting he would be arrested. Upon learning of his arrest through a post on X, he described the conditions inside the jail as extremely difficult, with hundreds of inmates crammed into a space meant for fewer people.

Kundra's wife, actress Shilpa Shetty, was informed of his arrest through the news and immediately sought support. She later decided to shut down his businesses overnight to manage the crisis. Kundra revealed that hearing rumors about Shilpa's potential divorce during his imprisonment deeply affected him, leading to a moment of despair where he felt like ending his life.

However, speaking to Shilpa the following day gave him the courage to face the situation, emphasizing the importance of family during his darkest hour.
