Qatar condemns Israeli airstrikes on Abu Al Duhur air base in Syria

Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes that hit the Abu Al Duhur air base in Syria's Idlib province. The attack is seen as a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to being a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar issued a statement on Tuesday, emphasizing that Israel's persistent disregard for regional sovereignty through force demonstrates a dangerous path of imposing a fait accompli.

The ministry stressed the need for the international community to take firm action in response to Israel's occupation, which appears to act with impunity due to international inaction and inability to deter it. The ministry warned that the lack of accountability and deterrence enables Israel to continue its violations, endangering security and stability and potentially escalating the situation in the region.

Qatar reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Syrian Arab Republic, emphasizing its solidarity with the Syrian government and backing any measures aimed at safeguarding Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
