Pony.ai says its overseas robotaxi pipeline has surpassed 4,000 vehicles

Pony.ai, the Chinese autonomous driving company, has significantly expanded its robotaxi deployment pipeline abroad, surpassing the 4,000-vehicle mark. This move underscores the company's ambition to broaden its reach beyond the domestic market. The announcement aligns with robust second-quarter financial results, which show a 68.8% increase in total revenue to $36.2 million compared to the same quarter last year.

Robotaxi services played a crucial role in this growth, with their revenue surging by a remarkable 691.2% year-on-year. This surge propelled robotaxi services to contribute one-third of the company's total revenue for the first time, highlighting their growing significance to Pony.ai's business model. The rapid expansion of their robotaxi operations is testament to the company's strategic focus on international markets.

CEO James Peng expressed confidence in the company's momentum, stating that they aim to surpass their full-year robotaxi services revenue target. The company's goal is to achieve revenue from robotaxi services that is more than three-and-a-half times the level recorded in 2025. This optimistic outlook is further bolstered by the company's international deployment pipeline, which now exceeds 4,000 vehicles.
