Polis tahan suspek simbah petrol, bakar warga emas

Polic chief Jasni Zolpa confirmed the arrest of a man suspected of arson and assault after a woman, aged 62, was injured at a number prediction stall in Kepong Central Market on August 9. A media briefing on the incident is scheduled for tomorrow. The male suspect, who remains unidentified, doused the woman with a flammable liquid and set her ablaze inside the stall, causing about 50% of her injuries.

The attack victim, who worked as a guard at the premises, suffered around 50% of her injuries. Following the incident, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng offered a reward of RM5,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
