Police impound five Air Peace vehicles over runway blockade

The police have impounded five Air Peace vehicles in Lagos following a runway blockade incident. Initially, the police had only confirmed the impounding of three vehicles, but further investigation revealed the number had increased to five. The vehicles are currently in police custody, with their markings including AJJ 589EX, KTU 440EZ, AAA 831F, KTU 85FH, and EPE 656HF.

The vehicles were found parked on the airside of the airport, obstructing operations and disrupting the smooth movement of aircraft. Air Peace initially claimed some impostors might be responsible for the disruptive conduct, promising to conduct an internal investigation. The police have contacted the airline for the drivers involved in the incident, but as of now, the airline has not provided the required information, and the vehicles remain in police custody until the investigation concludes.
