Osun Election: ‘I had no electoral deal’ — Adeleke denies alliance with ADC

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has firmly denied any electoral agreement or partnership with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) prior to, during, or after the recent governorship election. The ADC, according to its spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi, had claimed a collaboration with Adeleke's Accord Party to prevent the All Progressives Congress (APC) from securing victory.

However, Adeleke's statement on Tuesday highlighted that the ADC was not part of the coalition that backed his campaign. In the aftermath of the election, the governor credited divine intervention and the overwhelming support of Osun's electorate for his re-election. He expressed gratitude to citizens for their re-election, emphasizing that the credit for their victory belongs to God Almighty and the people of Osun State.

The governor noted that the ADC was not included in the "rainbow coalition" that supported his campaign and praised other political partners for their tireless efforts that contributed to the election's success. He reaffirmed his commitment to uniting all Osun people, irrespective of political affiliation, religion, or tribe, as he continues to strive for the state's progress and prosperity.
