Nvidia executive visits LG Electronics robotics hub

Nvidia's senior director, Madison Huang, visited LG Electronics' robotics hub in South Korea on Tuesday. The meeting aimed to explore potential expansion of their partnership in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and robotics. Huang had previously discussed this development with LG Electronics officials when the company announced its plans to launch a humanoid robot that can walk on two legs in January 2027, leveraging Nvidia's robotics platform.

The visit was a follow-up to a memorandum of understanding signed by LG Electronics and Nvidia at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The agreement was witnessed by Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group, and Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. During the Tuesday visit, Huang and her colleagues reviewed the progress at LG Electronics' robotics factory in Seoul. The factory, under construction, is expected to become fully operational by the end of this year.

Currently, LG Electronics' Seoul facility utilizes its own humanoid robot, LG CLOiD, to generate, collect, and process data for AI training purposes. Nvidia's presence at the robotics hub underscores the growing collaboration between the two tech giants in the fields of AI and robotics.
