Nic Moore has 'great natural leverage' at center for Tennessee

Sophomore offensive lineman Nic Moore, at 6-foot-3 and 312 pounds, is set to begin his second season with Tennessee in 2026. The Vols' defensive front saw him appear in three games as a freshman. In his sophomore debut, he played center in contests against East Tennessee State and New Mexico State, as well as serving on Tennessee's extra point unit during the Arkansas matchup.

Offensive line coach Glen Elarbee highlighted Moore's potential during fall training camp. He noted Moore's natural leverage at center due to his height, which is advantageous inside the line, coupled with his remarkable strength. Elarbee also praised Moore's ability to manage his snaps and his physical approach to the game. Moore, a product of Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tennessee, was placed on the 2025 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.

He continues to make strides both on and off the field, as shown by his recent performance, where he knocked defenders six to seven yards off the line of scrimmage.
