Neumann uncertain over future after Quins exit

Wales wing player Lisa Neumann is contemplating her future after leaving Harlequins this summer. Neumann, who won her 50th Wales cap at the 2022 Rugby World Cup, appeared only once for the Premiership Women's Rugby side last season. She made a return to the Celtic Challenge with Brython Thunder after suffering a hamstring injury that ruled her out of the 2026 Six Nations.

Neumann expressed her disappointment with the timing of her injury and the overall performance of her time at Harlequins, stating that the changes in the environment led her to make the difficult decision to move on. She is currently taking her time to evaluate her options, weighing the sacrifices she has made for rugby against the quality of life in different locations.

Neumann is in her third week of pre-season training with Wales, preparing for their upcoming WXV Global Series, which kicks off on September 18 against South Africa at Cardiff Arms Park.
