NCIS: New York: LL COOL J Tackles The Big Apple In Teaser Trailer For CBS Spin-Off

CBS has unveiled a tantalizing teaser trailer for the upcoming spin-off of the popular NCIS franchise, titled NCIS: New York. In the promotional clip, LL COOL J once again steps into the shoes of special agent Sam Hanna, who returns to his hometown of New York City to join the field office. Sam, who has been globetrotting and taking down international threats as a legend, teams up with fellow special agent Nick Schaeffer, played by Hawaii Five-0 alum Scott Caan.

The two agents share witty banter and mismatched sizes, with Nick teasing Sam about his size and Sam retorting about falling into cracks. As they work together, they quickly become a formidable team, taking down bad guys and proving their skills. Jennifer Beals also appears as Sam and Nick's superior, Robyn Wells, while other supporting characters include Jacqueline Byers as Addy Ross, Shane Harper as Wyatt Sellers, and Devin Druid as tech whiz Sean Sullivan.

The show, created by HBO Max's Emmy-winning medical drama creator R. Scott Gemmill, is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 6 at 9 p.m. on CBS, airing between the flagship NCIS series and its upcoming prequel, NCIS: Origins.
