Missing woman's family receives texts asking for money, bitcoin

More than a week has passed since a woman from New York vanished in Las Vegas, leaving her family receiving messages from her phone requesting money and bitcoin. Alisa Goods, 63, had journeyed to Las Vegas to see a friend, according to her family. Her friend informed the family that Goods had left her apartment on August 8 to take a bus to a nearby CVS and was never seen again.

Her daughter, Kristen, expressed deep concern for her mother's welfare, stating that she is praying for the best but fears the worst. Alisa Goods, a grandmother of five, was declared missing on August 10. In the days that followed, her family began receiving texts from her phone, asking for assistance such as gas money and bitcoin.

Her niece, Alana Calloway, found the request for gas money particularly odd, as Alisa Goods does not own a car or drive. Calloway suggested the possibility of her aunt being kidnapped, warning that if her phone was taken, there's a chance she might be missing. The Las Vegas Metro Police confirmed that Alisa Goods' missing person case is still active and urged anyone with information to reach out to investigators.

Despite contacting local hospitals, jails, and the coroner's office, the family has not yet uncovered any leads. Kristen Goods is currently in Las Vegas, actively searching for answers, emphasizing that her mother is still out there and desperately hoping for her safe return.
