LGMS' 1H earnings hit RM3.95mil, revenue up 6.5pct

KUALA LUMPUR - Cybersecurity firm LGMS Bhd reported a net profit of RM3.95 million for the first half of 2026, with revenue growing by 6.5 percent year-on-year to RM20.93 million. This increase was attributed to sustained demand for their services across key segments. For the second quarter alone, revenue grew by 0.5 percent to RM10.07 million, while net profit fell to RM1.75 million, with basic earnings per share at 0.38 sen. The decline in earnings was attributed to higher employee benefit costs due to workforce expansion, as well as increased IT expenses linked to new solutions and third-party resales.

LGMS stated that cyber risk prevention remained the primary revenue driver, with Q2 revenue rising 17.8 percent to RM6.87 million. This growth was mainly driven by stronger performance from clients in technology, manufacturing, and logistics. The company announced a first interim single-tier dividend of 0.5 sen per share, amounting to RM2.28 million, payable on September 23.

Managing Director Fong Choong Fook expressed LGMS's commitment to further expanding its cybersecurity assessment, compliance advisory, digital forensics, and incident response capabilities. They also plan to develop AI security testing, model risk assessment, and AI governance advisory services. The company's 27 percent investment in Antarex Holdings Sdn Bhd, completed in January 2026, aims to broaden its cybersecurity ecosystem participation and support long-term growth.
