LG Uplus brings Live TV service to new Mercedes-Benz S-Class

LG Uplus has introduced its live TV service, Live TV Plus, to the recently launched Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the company announced on Tuesday. The S-Class made its debut in Korea on the same day. As an official software partner of Mercedes-Benz Korea, LG Uplus will manage the Live TV Plus service, overseeing its development, content provision, and operation.

The service provides 28 TV channels covering news, golf, music, entertainment, and children's programming, all accessible without the need for separate account authentication. In contrast to digital multimedia broadcasting-based services, Live TV Plus utilizes wireless connectivity specifically designed for vehicles. This enables uninterrupted viewing, even in areas with poor signal strength, such as underground parking lots and tunnels.

Additionally, the vehicle's multiple displays can be operated independently, allowing passengers to watch different channels simultaneously. The service also features a Mercedes-Benz brand channel, dubbed the "Brand Hub," which offers content including new vehicle introductions and campaign videos.
