Klarna loses two more senior executives

Two long-serving executives at Swedish fintech Klarna are set to depart the company early next year, following a recent reshuffle. Chief Financial Officer Niclas Neglén, who has been with the company for six years and led Klarna to its IPO in September, will exit the role, as will Chief Marketing Officer David Sandström, who has been credited with boosting the company's US growth.

Both Neglén and Sandström will remain in their positions during the transition. Klarna's CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski praised the two, stating they have helped shape the company and will leave it stronger than they found it. The leadership changes follow the departure of Chief Operating Officer Camilla Giesecke in April after over nine years with the company.

The departures come after Klarna recalibrated an AI initiative, which it subsequently resumed after acknowledging the automation had compromised service quality.
