Hope Bridge project expands to Tay Ninh, Vinh Long

In the Dong Thap Muoi region of Vietnam, the Hope Bridge project has expanded to Tay Ninh and Vinh Long provinces, bringing improved transportation and connectivity to local communities.

Nhon Hoa Lap Commune, in Tay Ninh, was previously reliant on a deteriorated concrete bridge over Canal 2000 to connect local hamlets. The bridge, built over 15 years ago, has become too narrow and damaged to handle ambulances or large vehicles, causing difficulties for both residents and emergency services. Construction of the new Hope Bridge 451 began in April, and it will replace the old structure. The new bridge is 27 meters long, 3.5 meters wide, and capable of supporting up to 2.5 tons.

Le Van Nhan, Party secretary of Nhon Hoa Lap Commune, stated that the new bridge has eliminated a major transportation bottleneck, improving access to healthcare, the movement of agricultural produce, and the daily commutes of local students. More than 300 students from primary, secondary, and high schools now cross the bridge each day.

Similar projects have begun in Binh Thanh Commune, Tay Ninh, and in Vinh Long province. In Binh Thanh Commune, Hope Bridge 452 is under construction, and two more bridges, Nos. 458 and 465, have also started in Nhon Hoa Lap. In Vinh Long, Hope Bridges 459 and 460 have begun construction in My Thanh Hamlet and Giong Ca Hamlet, respectively.

The new bridges are expected to serve hundreds of households and thousands of residents daily, supporting education, healthcare, and local commerce. These infrastructure improvements are part of the Hope Foundation's initiative to enhance transportation and connectivity in areas where limited access hinders essential services and daily life.
