Hayden Panettiere's ex-boyfriend was present at scene when she died: Police

Hayden Panettiere's ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was present at the scene when she tragically passed away on Sunday at the age of 36. The Greenville City Police Department's report reveals that an officer responded to an EMS assist call for an unresponsive individual on Easley Bridge Road in Greenville, South Carolina. The patient showed no obvious signs of physical distress, and EMS attempted resuscitation for an extended period before declaring her dead at 2:32 PM.

Hickerson, along with his brother Zach, was on the scene and described Panettiere as his girlfriend. While Hickerson was initially emotional, he became less emotional once EMS confirmed her death. Hickerson had previously pleaded no contest to two felony counts of domestic abuse in 2021. The coroner's office completed an autopsy that found no signs of trauma contributing to her death, and the official cause and manner of her passing remain pending further investigation.

Panettiere, known for her roles in Heroes, Nashville, and Remember the Titans, had previously spoken out about Hickerson's alleged domestic abuse in 2020.
